  • Assess students’ educational backgrounds, skills, career interests, and placement requirements.
  • Assist students with resumes, cover letters, interview preparation, and professional communication.
  • Match students with suitable employers based on their academic programs and career objectives.
  • Monitor placement progress and maintain communication with students and workplace supervisors.

Employer Relations & Job Development

  • Build and maintain relationships with employers across Metro Vancouver and British Columbia.
  • Identify and develop placement opportunities with technology companies, financial institutions, consulting firms, hotels, restaurants, and other businesses.
  • Contact employers to discuss hiring needs, internship opportunities, and potential co-op partnerships.
  • Coordinate interviews, placement agreements, onboarding, and employer feedback.
  • Maintain a database of employers, placement opportunities, student applications, and placement outcomes.

  • Develop placement opportunities in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, data engineering, and junior data science.
  • Connect students with employers seeking candidates with Python, SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and related skills.

Cybersecurity & Information Technology

  • Coordinate placements in IT support, security operations, cybersecurity analysis, risk assessment, compliance, and information security.
  • Connect students with technology companies, managed service providers, and organizations with IT and security teams.

Business Management

  • Coordinate placements in administration, operations, project coordination, marketing, human resources, sales, and business analysis.
  • Build relationships with small businesses, corporate offices, professional services firms, and startups.

Hospitality & Tourism

  • Develop placements with hotels, resorts, restaurants, event venues, tourism operators, and hospitality management companies.
  • Coordinate opportunities in hotel operations, guest services, food and beverage operations, events, and hospitality administration.

  • Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple placements and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and database management.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, employers, instructors, and internal teams.

Preferred
