Coach

Plato R-V School District is now hiring for the following coaching positions:

• High School Cheer Coach
• Assistant Archery Coach

Provide instruction and coach students to develop skills and ability to excel in sport assigned. Assist in maintaining a competitive program that will foster physical and mental skills and the principles of fair play and good sportsmanship. Contribute to the education program as a whole and to the growth of students involved in athletics.

QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Missouri teacher’s certificate preferred. Exceptions may be made by the school board based on needs and availability of certified personnel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Embrace and work continually in support of the district mission of “Everyone Learning…Every Day”.
• Awareness of, and adherence to, the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of MSHSAA and the Plato R-V Board of Education.
• Responsible for care and inventory of equipment.
• Provide or secure proper attention for athletic injuries.
• Provide a positive learning environment for the athletes.
• Manage athlete behavior during training sessions and during meets or events.
• Assist in overseeing the safety conditions of the facility/area in which assigned sport is conducted at all times.
• Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior.
• Encourage, by example and through instruction, sportsmanlike conduct in all phases of athletic participation.
• Establish and maintain open communication with parents, students, and teachers.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and/or Principal.
