You May

  • Attach the letters to your Frontline application
  • Email them directly to [email protected]

Results are typically processed within 7 days and sent directly from Ohio BCI/FBI to ODE.

Coaches' Tool Chest Certification Please Complete The Coaches' Tool Chest Certification https://coachestoolchest.com/coaches/

The Coaches' Tool Chest certificate serves as proof that all requirements for the Pupil Activity Permit have been met. You must upload a copy of this certificate as verification of your Mental Health Training certification when completing your online application with the Office of Educator Licensure.

Effective October 3, 2023, Ohio law requires all athletic coaches to complete a student mental health training course approved by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS).

Please note that this is a single platform —you are trained once a year to meet all state compliance requirements. You no longer have to pursue and manage certifications from multiple platforms.

Pupil Activity Permit If you do not currently hold a valid Ohio Pupil Activity Permit, you will need to apply through the Ohio Department of Education's online system (OH|ID). If you are advising per 3301-27-01, you will need to provide proof of your valid educator license.
