What they need

Fellowship Program Overview

The Colaition UFL Fellowship is a two-year program built for high school coaches who want to grow, learn, and get real experience at the professional level. As a fellow, you won’t just observe – you’ll be involved. You’ll work alongside professional coaching staffs, help build weekly game plans, and coach on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.

A big part of this fellowship is mentoring and building relationships with athletes. Fellows are expected to be present, supportive, and engaged – helping players develop not only on the field, but as people. You’ll have the chance to learn how pro coaches connect with athletes and build trust over a season.

Fellows also play an active role in community outreach and youth football. You’ll help identify and recruit participants for football and flag youth clinics, assist with planning and running those clinics, and serve as a leader in your local football community. This is hands-on work that matters and makes an impact.

Another important piece of the fellowship is opening the door for your schools, athletes, and their families to experience the UFL up close, helping them feel welcomed into the fan base through special game-day opportunities.

You’ll be paired with another fellow as part of a two-year cycle. In year one, you’ll work alongside a returning fellow and learn the program. In year two, you’ll step into a mentorship role for the next incoming fellow.

What's New This Year

The United Football League enters 2027 with a fresh vision and expanded footprint—creating a unique opportunity for fellowship participants. This season, the league welcomed two new teams into new or upgraded venues designed to improve the fan experience and support the league’s long-term growth.

For fellows, this means stepping into energized, evolving football environments and helping teams build new traditions and identities.

New Markets

If chosen, you would get to pioneer of the fellowship program in these new markets:

  • Colorado Team: Weidner Field (Colorado Springs, CO)
  • Rhode Island Team: Centreville Bank Stadium (Pawtucket, RI)

Returning Teams in New Venues

  • DC Defenders: Audi Field (Washington, DC)
  • Columbus Aviators: Historic Crew Stadium (Columbus, OH)
  • Louisville Kings: Lynn Family Stadium (Louisville, KY)
  • Orlando Storm: Inter&Co Stadium (Orlando, FL)
  • St. Louis Battlehawks: The Dome at American Center (St Louis, MO)
  • Dallas Renegades: Toyota Stadium (Frisco, TX) formerly Arlington Renegades

With the league growing and teams settling into new homes, fellows will have the chance to learn in environments that are evolving, competitive, and full of momentum. This year is an especially exciting time to join the fellowship and be part of the UFL’s next chapter.
