The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced COBOL / Mainframe Developer to join a banking technology environment in Stockholm, working with business-critical systems supporting clearing, settlement and financial transactions.

This is an opportunity to work with established mainframe technologies that play a vital role in processing financial transactions reliably and securely.

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing, maintaining and enhancing COBOL applications running on IBM mainframe systems.
• Working with systems supporting banking clearing and settlement operations.
• Troubleshooting, debugging and resolving issues within business-critical applications.
• Working with DB2 databases, batch processing and transaction workflows.
• Supporting application changes, testing and releases in a controlled banking environment.
• Collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to maintain system reliability and performance.

• COBOL — Mainframe development and compilation
• IBM z/OS — Mainframe operating environment
• DB2 — Database development and management
• JCL — Mainframe batch job execution
• IBM File Manager
• IBM Fault Analyzer
• ChangeMan / Librarian
• IBM MQ
• IMS
• OPC Scheduler
• XML / pureXML

Banking Experience

Previous experience working within banking, particularly clearing and settlement systems , is important.

Additional understanding of payment processing, financial transaction flows and banking operations would be highly beneficial.
