Cocktail Bartender

Taquila is a lively Mexican restaurant in Galway, and our cocktails are a big part of the experience. We’re looking for a skilled, passionate Cocktail Bartender to join our team. You’ll make and serve delicious drinks and work closely with our servers to give every guest a great night out.

What your day will look like

• Making cocktails to Taquila’s recipes and standards, consistently and at speed
• Preparing our cocktail of the month and any seasonal specials, as set by our management team
• Pouring wines, beers and soft drinks, and preparing all other drinks orders
• Running drinks to tables so they arrive fresh and looking their best
• Working alongside our servers, supporting them on the floor and taking orders when needed
• Keeping the bar spotless, organised and fully stocked before, during and after every shift
• Setting up and closing down the bar, including prepping garnishes, juices and syrups
• Following our cleaning checklists, glassware care, and food safety and hygiene standards
• Helping with bar stock rotation, restocking and stock counts
• Serving alcohol responsibly and in line with company procedures and the law
• Recommending drinks to guests and sharing your passion for tequila, mezcal and cocktails

What you’ll bring

• Previous experience as a bartender with experience in cocktails
• Solid cocktail knowledge and techniques: shaking, stirring, building, layering and garnishing
• Speed and accuracy during busy services
• An excellent eye for cleanliness, organisation and detail
• Good knowledge of wines, spirits and beers, or a strong willingness to learn
• A friendly, confident and positive attitude with guests and the team
• The ability to stay calm and keep your standards high when it’s busy
• Availability for evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: €14.25 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 15.0 per week
