The Side Door Jazz Club is a 68-seat jazz listening room located inside the Old Lyme Inn, a beautifully restored 13-room inn in Old Lyme, CT. We present live jazz from some of the best musicians in the country in an intimate, attentive setting.

Job Summary
We're looking for a Cocktail Server to work Friday and Saturday nights in the club. This is a tipped position, so you'll earn an hourly wage plus tips on top of it. Most of what you'll serve is drinks, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options, with a small food menu on the side. You'll create a welcoming experience for our guests by delivering attentive drink service during live shows, taking orders, processing payments accurately, and keeping your service area clean and ready.

Pay
Hourly wage plus tips.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, answer menu questions, and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Take and deliver drink orders, with a focus on cocktails and wine, and make recommendations to help guests choose.
• Serve a limited food menu.
• Process sales using a point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash and basic math accurately.
• Work closely with the bar to keep drink service smooth and timely.
• Serve quietly and professionally during performances so the music stays the focus.
• Follow sanitation and alcohol service standards and keep the service area clean throughout each shift.

Requirements

• Service experience is preferred (restaurant, bar, hospitality, or similar).
• Cocktail, spirits, and wine knowledge is a plus.
• Comfortable using a POS system.
• Able to work Friday and Saturday evenings.
• Friendly, reliable, and able to work well as part of a team.

Pay: From $16.94 per hour

Expected hours: 6.0 – 10.0 per week
