VACANCY - TEMP CODE 14 DRIVER / MECHANIC

Yugo Roofing is looking for a reliable and experienced Code 14 Driver / Mechanic to join our team on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Code 14 heavy vehicles in accordance with road and company regulations.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any faults or safety concerns.
• Perform basic mechanical repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues where required.
• Ensure vehicles are kept clean, roadworthy, and in good working condition.
• Complete all required vehicle and trip documentation.
• Assist with loading, deliveries, collections, or other operational duties as required.
• Adhere to all company health, safety, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Valid Code 14 / EC Driver’s Licence.
• Relevant licenses for goods, where applicable.
• Proven experience driving heavy-duty vehicles.
• Mechanical knowledge and hands-on repair experience.
• Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance and fault finding.
• Clean driving record.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Medically fit and able to work flexible hours when required.

Advantageous

• Experience with trucks, trailers, and commercial vehicles.
• Relevant mechanical qualification or trade experience.
• Previous experience in a transport, logistics, construction, or similar environment.

• Athlone, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
