The Role

Jam Coding is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Code Coaches to deliver fun and engaging after-school coding clubs in primary schools across Medway and surrounding areas.

• You’ll help children explore technology in a positive, creative and enjoyable way. Our sessions cover areas such as coding, animation, robotics and digital creativity.
• You do not need to be a coding expert or qualified teacher. Full training, lesson plans and resources are provided.
• Sessions take place during school term time, typically between 3pm and 5pm. This is a great part-time opportunity for someone looking for work that fits around other commitments.

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

• Enjoys working with children and helping them learn
• Has a positive, friendly and enthusiastic attitude
• Is comfortable using computers and technology – full training is provided
• Is confident communicating with groups of primary-school children
• Is reliable, organised and punctual
• Can travel to schools across Medway and surrounding areas
• Has previous experience working with children, schools, clubs or similar environments – advantageous, but not essential

Pay & Hours

• £15–£17 per hour, depending on experience.
• Hours are approximately 3pm–5pm on weekdays during school term time.

Requirements

• As the role involves working with children, you will need an enhanced DBS check. We can help arrange this for the successful candidate if not held.
• A driving licence and access to a car due to travelling and transporting session equipment between schools.
