Coding Teacher – Mount waverley

Play AI is looking for a Coding Teacher to teach children and teenagers at our Box Hill campus.

We are looking for someone with strong programming fundamentals who can teach clearly, guide students through projects, and make coding engaging and practical.

Availability Required

Applicants should be available during some of the following times:

• Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: from 4:00 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: daytime availability

Teaching hours will be arranged based on your availability and our class schedule.

Requirements

Python is essential.

In addition, applicants should have experience in at least one of the following areas:

• Robotics + Scratch
• Minecraft Education + Roblox Studio

The following will be highly regarded:

• Strong algorithm and problem-solving skills
• LeetCode / advanced algorithm experience
• Robotics or coding competition experience
• Experience with Lua / Luau, MakeCode, Arduino or Micro:bit
• Teaching or tutoring experience with children or teenagers

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Python and project-based coding lessons
• Guide students through robotics, Scratch, Minecraft Education or Roblox Studio projects
• Help students develop debugging, logical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Support students with coding projects and competition preparation where applicable
• Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment

Preferred Background

Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Software Development, Education or a related field is preferred.

• Fluent English required
• Mandarin or Cantonese is an advantage
• Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
