What they need

Our client in healthcare and life sciences is seeking a COE Lead to join their team. As a COE Lead, you will be part of the AI Center of Excellence supporting enterprise AI enablement and training delivery. The ideal candidate will have hands-on AI builder experience, sound judgment on AI use cases, and clear communication that turns technical evaluation into concise, actionable training content.

Job Title: COE Lead

Location: Remote, US (Eastern time overlap for sessions and sprint reviews)

Pay Range: USD 90/hr

What's the Job?

  • Evaluate incoming AI ideas and requests, determine whether each is a real AI use case, and recommend the right approach (e.g., Amazon Quick, Copilot, a code-generation tool, RAG/agent build, or no AI), including what data is needed, plus risks and effort.
  • Build and test hands-on by prototyping in enterprise AI tools with realistic data, documenting where concepts work and where they break before teams commit time.
  • Assess current AI builds, tool configurations, and role-based workflows, and inventory existing training content to identify gaps and drive a complete enablement plan.
  • Create the curriculum and training materials—learning paths, labs, decks, job aids, and prompt libraries—grounded in what you learn from evaluation and prototyping, and set templates and quality standards.
  • Review and validate technical accuracy and consistency of materials produced by placed enablement consultants, then support delivery by coaching, piloting new content, and answering hard technical questions.

What's Needed?

  • Daily, hands-on AI practitioner experience building and testing with enterprise AI tools and code-generation tools, with the ability to explain failure modes clearly.
  • Proven sound judgment on AI use cases, including the ability to say “no” or “not yet” with specific, practical reasons (e.g., data quality, accuracy requirements, cost, or simpler non-AI solutions).
  • Real platform experience with Amazon Quick or Amazon Q, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, or equivalent, plus hands-on depth with Claude Code, Cursor, or Replit.
  • Strong working depth in prompt and context engineering, RAG/knowledge retrieval, and agentic workflows.
  • Experience creating training and curriculum materials (learning paths, labs, decks, or guides) that other people used; delivering training yourself is helpful but not required.

What's in it for me?

  • Lead the technical standard for an AI Center of Excellence by turning real prototypes into high-quality training content.
  • Work directly with an Engagement Manager and a Strategy & Transformation partner to connect technical decisions to adoption and KPI measures.
  • Start immediately with onboarding into the AI CoE, beginning with AI Training & Enablement managed service.
  • Build reusable criteria, templates, and lab content that feed a growing CoE library.
  • After the first engagement, be considered for additional AI CoE work that matches your background.

Upon Completion Of Waiting Period Consultants Are Eligible For

  • Dental Plan
  • Vision Plan
  • Health Savings Account
  • Health Flexible Spending Account
  • Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account
  • Supplemental Life Insurance
  • Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance
