Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees and teas, ensuring quality and consistency in every cup
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling and beverage stations, adhering to food safety standards
• Manage cash handling duties with accuracy during processing of cash transactions and balancing registers at shift end
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring timely delivery of drinks and light snacks
• Uphold food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers

Experience

• Previous barista or café experience is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with beverage service and drink preparation techniques
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus, showcasing your ability to handle retail sales transactions efficiently
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to maintain high hygiene standards
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods
• Food service experience that highlights your ability to work quickly while maintaining quality and attention to detail
