Job Summary

Kaffee Bohnen is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Coffee Maker to prepare high-quality coffee and specialty beverages while providing friendly service to café guests. This position is suitable for someone who enjoys coffee preparation, takes pride in beverage quality, and can maintain an organized workstation in a busy café environment. The successful candidate will help prepare customer orders, operate coffee equipment, restock supplies, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and iced coffee, espresso-based drinks, lattes, cold brew, and specialty beverages according to café recipes.
• Measure coffee grounds, adjust brewing settings, and follow preparation standards for consistent flavor.
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, brewers, and other beverage equipment safely.
• Take customer orders and process payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Explain drink options and accommodate customer preferences when possible.
• Maintain beverage quality, presentation, and timely order preparation.
• Keep coffee equipment, counters, utensils, and beverage stations clean and sanitized.
• Replenish coffee beans, milk, alternative milks, syrups, cups, lids, and other supplies.
• Store ingredients properly and follow food-safety and sanitation procedures.
• Communicate with coworkers to manage orders efficiently during busy periods.
• Assist with opening, closing, and inventory tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Interest in coffee preparation and café service.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow recipes and prepare drinks consistently.
• Previous barista, coffee maker, or café experience is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn coffee equipment, brewing methods, and beverage recipes.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized workstation.
• Availability for scheduled morning, afternoon, weekend, or holiday shifts.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine café duties.

Kaffee Bohnen is an independent coffee shop located on West Olympic Boulevard in Los Angeles. The café serves specialty coffee, espresso drinks, tea, matcha beverages, and other café favorites in a comfortable setting. Its focus on beverage quality and a welcoming atmosphere makes consistency, cleanliness, and attentive service important parts of the customer experience.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week

Work Location: In person
