Coffee Service Worker

Job Summary

Bitty & Beau's Coffee is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Coffee Service Worker to support daily coffee shop operations and provide a welcoming experience for guests. This role assists with customer service, order taking, coffee and beverage preparation, food service, cleanliness, restocking, and teamwork throughout the café.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take customer orders accurately and process transactions as needed.
• Assist with preparing and serving coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and café menu items.
• Follow established procedures for beverage preparation, presentation, and service.
• Assist with preparing, packaging, and serving food items.
• Ensure customer orders are accurate, complete, and served promptly.
• Answer customer questions about beverages, food items, ingredients, and menu options.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer payments accurately.
• Maintain clean and organized counters, tables, service stations, and work areas.
• Clear tables and help maintain a neat and welcoming customer environment.
• Restock coffee, beverages, food items, cups, lids, napkins, utensils, and other café supplies.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general coffee shop duties.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures.
• Communicate customer requests, supply needs, and service concerns to supervisors.
• Help maintain consistent beverage quality, food presentation, and order accuracy.
• Support coworkers during busy service periods and help maintain efficient café operations.
• Handle coffee equipment, ingredients, and supplies carefully and safely.
• Perform other coffee service and customer support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous coffee shop, café, restaurant, food service, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced coffee shop environment.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Willingness to learn coffee preparation, beverage service, and café procedures.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety practices.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible work habits.
• Comfortable standing, walking, and performing hands-on service tasks.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.0 per week
