Coffee Service Worker

Job Summary

Mokas Coffee & Eatery is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Coffee Service Worker to support daily coffee shop and eatery operations. This role involves preparing and serving coffee and other beverages, assisting with food service, handling customer orders, maintaining clean work areas, and keeping supplies organized to ensure a welcoming guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take coffee, beverage, and food orders accurately.
• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, tea, and other beverages according to established procedures.
• Assist with preparing and serving pastries, snacks, sandwiches, and other eatery menu items.
• Check orders for accuracy, completeness, and proper presentation.
• Deliver completed orders promptly and courteously.
• Answer customer questions about beverages, ingredients, and menu options.
• Communicate special requests and dietary concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer payments as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized counters, tables, beverage stations, and service areas.
• Restock coffee, ingredients, milk, cups, lids, napkins, utensils, and other supplies.
• Prepare beverage stations and organize equipment before and during service.
• Clean and maintain coffee machines, grinders, utensils, and other equipment according to established procedures.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety guidelines.
• Monitor supply levels and report shortages or equipment issues to supervisors.
• Support baristas, kitchen staff, and coworkers during busy service periods.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general café duties.
• Help maintain consistent beverage quality, order accuracy, and service standards.
• Handle food, beverages, equipment, and supplies carefully and responsibly.
• Perform other coffee service and customer support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous coffee shop, café, restaurant, food service, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, dependable, and customer-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.
• Willingness to learn coffee preparation and beverage service procedures.

About Mokas Coffee & Eatery

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.0 per week
