Coffee Shop Assistant

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Coffee Shop Assistant to join our vibrant team in the hospitality and catering industry. This part-time role is essential for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. The ideal candidate will contribute to the smooth operation of the coffee shop, enhancing the overall customer experience and supporting our mission to deliver high-quality beverages and snacks.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, as well as light snacks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, including seating areas and service counters.
• Handle cash and card transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Assist in inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed.
• Provide information about menu items and make recommendations to customers.
• Support team members in daily operations and contribute to a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a café or coffee shop setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions.
• A passion for coffee and a willingness to learn about different brewing techniques.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
