As Coffee Shop Assistant Manager, you’ll help create a welcoming experience for customers while supporting smooth, consistent café operations. You’ll work alongside the team to maintain high standards across service, food preparation and the day-to-day running of the shop.

Responsibilities

• Support the manager with daily operations, team management and staff supervision.
• Guide colleagues during service, helping the team deliver friendly, efficient hospitality.
• Assist with food preparation, cooking and food production, following food safety practices.
• Support coffee service and, where relevant, serving and bartending duties.
• Your impact: By coordinating the team and maintaining safe, consistent service, you help customers enjoy a welcoming visit and colleagues work confidently together.

Requirements

• Experience in supervising, leadership or team management is useful; restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Food preparation, kitchen, culinary or food production experience is an advantage.
• Barista experience is welcome; serving, bartending or hotel experience is also beneficial.
• A practical understanding of food safety and a customer-focused approach will help you succeed.

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 21.0 per week
