Job Summary

Qahwah House Coffee is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Coffee Shop Associate to support daily café operations at its Williamsburg location. The ideal candidate enjoys serving people, preparing quality coffee and tea beverages, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. This role is a great fit for someone who works well in a team, learns quickly, and can provide attentive service during busy café hours.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide courteous, efficient service.
• Take orders, answer menu questions, and process payments accurately.
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to café standards.
• Explain beverage options and help customers select items based on their preferences.
• Assist with preparing and serving pastries or other available menu items.
• Keep counters, tables, beverage stations, and customer areas clean and organized.
• Restock coffee, tea, milk, cups, lids, and other supplies throughout the shift.
• Operate café equipment and point-of-sale systems according to training.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper ingredient-storage procedures.
• Communicate with coworkers to maintain smooth service during busy periods.
• Assist with opening, closing, inventory checks, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous café, coffee shop, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
• Barista experience is an advantage, but willingness to learn is important.
• Friendly communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Reliable attendance, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Willingness to learn beverage preparation methods and menu offerings.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle routine café supplies safely.
• Availability for morning, evening, weekend, or holiday shifts as required.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
