Coffee Shop Team Member

Coffee For Sasquatch is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Coffee Shop Team Member to support daily café operations and provide a welcoming experience for customers. This role involves taking orders, assisting with beverage and food preparation, processing routine transactions, maintaining clean service areas, and working closely with the café team to ensure efficient service. The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive, and comfortable working in a busy coffee shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, courteous, and professional service.
• Take coffee, beverage, and food orders accurately.
• Assist with preparing coffee, tea, and other beverages according to café procedures.
• Operate the POS system and process customer payments as needed.
• Answer basic questions about menu items, beverages, and café offerings.
• Communicate order details and customer requests clearly with team members.
• Maintain clean and organized counters, tables, beverage stations, and customer areas.
• Restock coffee supplies, cups, lids, napkins, utensils, and other café items.
• Assist with dine-in, pickup, and takeout orders.
• Support baristas and coworkers during busy service periods.
• Help with routine opening, closing, and daily café responsibilities.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace procedures.
• Work cooperatively with team members to maintain smooth café operations.

Qualifications

• Previous coffee shop, café, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly, professional, and respectful approach to customers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment.
• Good attention to cleanliness, order accuracy, and customer service.
• Able to learn POS systems, beverage preparation, and café procedures.
• Willingness to follow instructions and established company standards.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
