Coffee Shop Team Member

Paraiso Market Cafe is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Coffee Shop Team Member to support daily café operations and provide welcoming service to customers. This role involves taking orders, assisting with coffee and beverage preparation, handling routine transactions, maintaining clean service areas, and working closely with the café team to keep daily operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive, and comfortable working in a busy coffee shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take coffee, beverage, and food orders accurately.
• Assist with preparing coffee, tea, and other café beverages according to established procedures.
• Operate the POS system and process customer payments accurately.
• Answer basic questions about menu items, beverages, and café offerings.
• Communicate order details and customer requests clearly with team members.
• Assist with dine-in, pickup, and takeout orders as needed.
• Keep counters, beverage stations, tables, and customer areas clean and organized.
• Replenish coffee supplies, cups, lids, napkins, utensils, ingredients, and other café items.
• Support coworkers during busy service periods to maintain efficient order flow.
• Assist with opening, closing, and routine daily café responsibilities.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace procedures.
• Help create a welcoming and positive experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Previous coffee shop, café, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly, professional, and respectful approach to customers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment.
• Good attention to cleanliness, accuracy, and customer service.
• Able to learn POS systems, beverage preparation, and café procedures.
• Willingness to follow instructions and support coworkers.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
