Coffee Shop Worker

Job Summary

Bloom Coffee Co. is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Coffee Shop Worker to support daily café operations and provide a welcoming experience for guests. This role involves assisting customers, taking orders, preparing and serving coffee and other beverages, supporting food service, maintaining clean work areas, and restocking café supplies.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and café menu items according to established procedures.
• Assist with food preparation, portioning, packaging, and order assembly as needed.
• Answer customer questions about beverages, food items, and café offerings.
• Ensure orders are accurate, complete, and served promptly.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer payments as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized counters, tables, service stations, and work areas.
• Clear tables and help maintain a neat and welcoming café environment.
• Restock coffee, ingredients, cups, lids, napkins, utensils, beverages, and other supplies.
• Assist with preparing service stations and setting up the café for daily operations.
• Clean and maintain coffee equipment and service tools according to established procedures.
• Support coworkers during busy service periods and help maintain efficient operations.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures.
• Communicate customer requests, supply needs, and service concerns to supervisors.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general café duties.
• Help maintain consistent beverage quality, presentation, and order accuracy.
• Handle food, beverages, equipment, and café supplies carefully and responsibly.
• Maintain a professional and positive attitude throughout each shift.
• Perform other coffee shop service and support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous coffee shop, café, restaurant, food service, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced coffee shop environment.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Willingness to learn beverage preparation and café procedures.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety practices.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Comfortable standing, walking, and performing hands-on service tasks.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
