Cold-Chain Packaging Associate — Meat Processing

Role Overview

Join Nexus Employment as a Cold-Chain Packaging Associate supporting a meat processing facility in the South Holland, IL area. You’ll help move quality products to customers while working on a close-knit production team.

A day in this role

You arrive for your shift, gear up for a cold environment, and head to the line. Throughout the day you package meat products, perform quick visual checks to ensure quality, label items accurately, and stage light boxes for shipping. You’ll collaborate with teammates to meet daily output goals, rotate to assist on warehouse and production projects, and finish your shift by maintaining a clean, safe workspace aligned with company policies, procedures, and good manufacturing practices.

What you’ll do

• Package meat products on a fast-moving production line
• Inspect items to verify quality standards
• Apply labels to products and finished packages
• Lift and move light packages/boxes for shipping
• Meet daily production goals
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and good manufacturing practices
• Assist with various warehouse and production projects
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment
