Job Overview

Tallulah wine bar and bistro in Downtown Birmingham seeks a professional garde manger to over see our cold station.

You will be responsible for upholding our high standards of quality and presentation in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and plate cold appetizers, salads, and desserts, and composed dishes to the highest standards.

Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation while adhering to portion control.

Ensure all mise en place is prepped, organized, and fresh for service.

Work closely with the executive chef and kitchen team to uphold the restaurant’s standards.

Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a high-end or fine dining restaurant, preferably in a garde manger role.

Strong knife skills and knowledge of cold kitchen techniques, including dressings, garnishes, and plating.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Passion for food, creativity, and attention to detail.

Team player with excellent communication skills.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
