COLD STORAGE CHECKER

Merc Braga Meat Products Trading is looking for a responsible, detail-oriented, and hardworking Cold Storage Checker to join our logistics and inventory team. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy of frozen meat products during receiving, picking, loading, and releasing operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION / DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Check and verify the correct product description, brand, quantity, and weight of frozen meat products during receiving and releasing.
• Ensure that the products being picked and released match the customer's order, invoice, or delivery receipt.
• Inspect product labels, packaging, and physical condition before releasing items.
• Verify the accuracy of product counts and weights and immediately report any discrepancies, shortages, excesses, or incorrect items.
• Coordinate with cold storage pickers, warehouse personnel, drivers, helpers, and the logistics team to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
• Monitor and record the movement of products in and out of the cold storage facility.
• Ensure that all products are properly identified and placed in their designated storage areas.
• Assist in inventory counting and reconciliation when necessary.
• Follow proper cold storage procedures, food safety standards, and workplace safety rules.
• Maintain accurate records and submit required reports to the immediate supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least a High School Graduate; vocational or college education is an advantage.
• With experience in warehouse checking, inventory, cold storage, or frozen meat handling is an advantage.
• Knowledge of product identification, weighing, counting, and inventory procedures.
• Must be detail-oriented, honest, responsible, and physically fit for cold storage work.
• Able to work in a cold environment and handle frozen products while following appropriate safety procedures.
• Can follow instructions and work under minimal supervision.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required by operations.
• Must be willing to work in Biñan, Laguna.
• Can work well with a team and maintain accuracy even during busy operations.
