Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Cold Storage Technician to install, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration and cold storage systems. The technician will ensure that cold rooms, freezers, refrigeration equipment, and related systems operate efficiently and maintain the required temperature for safe storage of food and other temperature-sensitive products.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor cold rooms, chillers, freezers, and refrigeration systems to ensure required temperatures are maintained.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of refrigeration and cold storage equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, thermostats, sensors, fans, motors, and control systems.
• Monitor refrigerant levels, pressure, temperature, and overall system performance.
• Identify and repair refrigerant leaks and other refrigeration-related faults.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical components associated with refrigeration systems.
• Check cold room insulation, doors, seals, evaporator coils, drainage systems, and temperature-control equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
• Record temperature readings, maintenance activities, faults, repairs, and spare-parts requirements.
• Ensure cold storage areas remain clean, safe, and operational.
• Coordinate with Operations and Food Safety teams regarding temperature deviations or equipment issues.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety standards, and food safety requirements.
• Maintain proper inventory of refrigeration tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials.
• Report major technical issues and recurring equipment failures to the Maintenance Manager.
• Perform any other maintenance-related duties assigned by management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / Certificate in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC), HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, or a relevant technical field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in cold storage, refrigeration, HVAC, food industry, warehouse, or commercial refrigeration.
• Hands-on experience with cold rooms, freezers, chillers, and refrigeration systems.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and refrigeration controls.
• Ability to use refrigeration testing and maintenance tools.
• Knowledge of workplace safety and proper handling of refrigerants.
• Experience in the food/F&B industry or cold-chain environment will be preferred.

Pay: From Rs40,000.00 per month
