Cold Storage Technician

We are looking for an experienced Cold Storage Technician with good knowledge of refrigeration and cold room systems. The candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of cold storage and refrigeration equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular preventive and corrective maintenance of cold storage systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair cold rooms and refrigeration equipment.
• Maintain cold rooms, freezers, chillers, condensing units, and refrigeration systems.
• Check compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, motors, thermostats, and control systems.
• Perform refrigerant charging, leak detection, pressure checking, and recovery when required.
• Check and maintain temperature controllers, sensors, and electrical components.
• Identify refrigeration and electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs.
• Monitor cold room temperature and ensure the system operates properly.
• Clean and maintain evaporator coils, condenser coils, filters, drain lines, and other components.
• Attend emergency breakdowns and restore equipment operation as quickly as possible.
• Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new cold storage systems.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance and repair work.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain tools and equipment properly.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other technicians to complete assigned work.
• Perform other refrigeration and cold storage-related duties as required.

Requirements

• ITI / Diploma / Technical qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, HVAC, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience as a Cold Storage / Refrigeration Technician.
• Good practical knowledge of refrigeration and cold room maintenance.
• Knowledge of compressors, refrigeration controls, electrical systems, and refrigerants.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Qatar/GCC experience is preferred.
• Valid QID with transferable NOC
