Andros in the UK is a major supplier of ambient fruit-based conserves and chilled yogurts and desserts, with its commercial operations based in Hammersmith dealing directly with all major retailers and sectors within the UK. They acquired in 2008, the Oldford dairy site (Somerset) and heavily invested in new, state-of-the-art, chilled desserts product lines, unique on the market.

To support this growth we are now seeking a ColdStore operator to join our experienced team.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Removing pallets from the wind tunnel and maintaining product flow.
• Wrapping, scanning and booking finished products into stock using AS400 and handheld scanners.
• Preparing and loading dispatch vehicles in line with delivery schedules.
• Unloading incoming deliveries and ensuring products are stored correctly.
• Maintaining stock accuracy and ensuring FIFO stock rotation is followed.
• Participating in weekly and monthly stock counts.
• Monitoring stock on hold and communicating with Planning and Technical teams as required.
• Carrying out regular cleaning and housekeeping within the Cold Store.
• Monitoring freezer temperatures and reporting any issues.
• Reporting equipment faults, including winding tunnel, wrapping machines and forklift trucks.
• Ensuring forklift trucks and ride-on equipment are kept in good condition and fully charged.
• Supporting Operations Support activities when required.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a valid Forklift Truck licence (or has relevant forklift experience).
• Has strong organisational and stock control skills.
• Is comfortable using computerised systems and handheld scanners.
• Understands the importance of stock accuracy and FIFO principles.
• Has a proactive approach to Health & Safety and housekeeping.
• Can work effectively as part of a team and under pressure.

• The role is based full time in Oldford, Frome in Somerset
