Collaborative Physician

Job Summary

We are seeking a Texas-licensed physician interested in a straightforward, low-interaction collaborative arrangement with a Family Nurse Practitioner providing outpatient primary care.

The NP will manage day-to-day patient care, clinical decision-making, and routine practice operations within his authorized scope of practice. We anticipate minimal routine communication and no regularly scheduled in-person meetings, with communication occurring as needed and in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Controlled-substance prescribing is expected to be occasional rather than a routine component of the practice.

This opportunity is ideal for a physician seeking a limited time commitment with clearly defined responsibilities and expectations outlined in a written agreement.

Responsibilities

• Enter into a written prescriptive authority agreement with the Family Nurse Practitioner.
• Fulfill applicable physician delegation, consultation, supervision, and oversight responsibilities under Texas law.
• Participate in required monthly meetings and fulfill applicable chart-review and quality-assurance requirements.
• Establish an agreed-upon process for communication.
• Complete required documentation and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Texas physician license (MD or DO).
• Good communication and professional collaboration skills.
• Willingness to enter into a written agreement consistent with applicable Texas law.
• Comfortable collaborating with an NP providing outpatient primary care in a limited-interaction arrangement.

Compensation and Benefits

• $1000 per month.
• Limited, part-time commitment with duties and availability defined in the written agreement.
• Independent contractor arrangement.
• Physician to be added to the practice's existing malpractice policy.
• Remote collaboration, with no regularly scheduled in-person meetings anticipated.

Pay: From $1,000.00 per month
