Collection Agent

Job Summary
As a Collection Agent, you’ll be responsible for recovering funds on pre-existing accounts while identifying opportunities to upsell products or services to customers. The ideal candidate is a persuasive communicator with a strong sales mindset and the ability to build rapport quickly.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound and receive inbound calls to collect on past-due or delinquent accounts
• Negotiate payment arrangements and provide solutions for account resolution
• Handle customer inquiries with professionalism and empathy
• Maintain detailed and accurate call notes in the system
• Identify opportunities to upsell products or services that meet customer needs
• Meet or exceed daily call, collection, and sales performance targets
• Adhere to all compliance, regulatory, and company policies

Requirements

• Previous experience in collections, call center, or sales (preferred)
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong attention to detail.
• Sales-driven mindset with the ability to meet performance goals
• High school diploma or equivalent required
