Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Senior Collections Manager / Head – Collections to lead collections and recovery for a large unsecured digital lending portfolio.

The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in Personal Loans, Digital Personal Loans, Instant Loans, Quick Loans, Short-Term Personal Loans or Payday Loans.

Experience handling a 100 Crore+ loan portfolio is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end collections and recovery strategy.
• Manage collections across 0–30, 30–60, 60–90 and 90+ DPD.
• Drive NPA, hard-bucket and write-off recoveries.
• Manage large in-house teams and external collection agencies.
• Set agency/FOS targets, SLAs and incentive structures.
• Improve collection efficiency, RPC, PTP conversion and resolution rates.
• Reduce roll-forward and delinquency across buckets.
• Manage tele-calling, field collections, skip tracing and legal recovery.
• Develop data-driven and technology-enabled collection strategies.
• Monitor daily/weekly/monthly collections MIS.
• Work closely with Risk, Credit, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Operations and Technology teams.
• Ensure complete compliance with applicable RBI guidelines, Fair Practices Code and recovery-agent requirements.
• Establish strong controls against customer harassment, unauthorized contact and misuse of customer information.
• Build and scale the collections organization as the portfolio grows.

Mandatory Requirements

• 5+ years of collections experience; 10+ years preferred.

• Strong experience in unsecured/personal loan collections.

• Experience in Digital Lending / Fintech / NBFC / Consumer Finance preferred.

• Must have handled a 100 Cr+ loan portfolio.

• Experience managing large collection teams.

• Strong agency/vendor management experience.

• Strong experience in 90+ DPD, NPA and hard-bucket recovery.

• Strong understanding of RBI guidelines applicable to loan collections and digital lending.

• Strong knowledge of collection metrics including:

• Collection Efficiency

• RPC

• PTP

• Roll Rate

• DPD

• NPA

• Recovery Rate

• Agency Productivity

• Cost of Collection

• Excellent Excel/MIS and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Hindi and English communication required.

• Delhi NCR candidates preferred.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in:

Personal Loans | Digital Personal Loans | Instant Loans | Quick Loans | Payday Loans | STPL | Small-Ticket Loans | Consumer Finance

will be strongly preferred.

Experience with high-volume digital collections and portfolios of 100–500+ Crore will be an advantage.
