Collections Agent

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Collections Agent to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing delinquent accounts, negotiating debt repayment plans, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will help recover outstanding balances while maintaining positive client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Contact clients via phone, or written correspondence to discuss overdue accounts and negotiate repayment arrangements
• Analyze accounts receivable data using Excel and accounting software to identify delinquent accounts and prioritize collection efforts
• Perform account analysis to determine appropriate collection strategies while adhering to industry standards and company policies Requirements
• Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and empathetically during debt collection negotiations
• Strong negotiation skills combined with the ability to analyze financial data accurately using Excel data analysis techniques
• Knowledge of consumer protection laws, financial regulatory compliance, and industry best practices for debt collection
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations
• Effective typing skills for documentation purposes along with familiarity in telemarketing techniques for client outreach

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $28.96 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Work Location: In person
