Collections Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused professional to join an established organization in a collections and accounts receivable capacity.

This position is responsible for monitoring customer accounts, following up on outstanding balances, researching account questions, and working with internal teams and customers to resolve issues. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable communicating by phone and email, and able to maintain positive customer relationships while consistently following through on outstanding items.

Collections or accounts receivable experience is preferred, but strong customer service professionals with the right attitude, communication skills, and willingness to learn will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Monitor customer accounts and identify overdue balances
• Contact customers regarding outstanding payments
• Research account information and investigate payment discrepancies
• Work with customers to resolve account questions and outstanding issues
• Communicate with internal departments to clarify billing and account matters
• Maintain accurate and organized account records
• Follow up consistently on outstanding items
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers
• Manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Perform other related administrative and account-support duties as needed

Qualifications

• 1+ year of accounts receivable, collections, billing, or related experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable making outbound calls and having payment-related conversations
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to organize and prioritize a high volume of work
• Comfortable working independently as well as with a team
• Ability to research problems and identify appropriate solutions
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Work Environment

• Fully onsite office position
• Monday–Friday schedule
• Standard daytime hours

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
