Collections Manager

Generally responsible for managing the 90+ days past due (DPD) portfolio, including write-off recovery, and ensuring that collection efforts are carried out in accordance with the approved Collection Roadmap. The position is also responsible for supervising, training, and mentoring Collection Officers/Specialists (Agency Coordinators).

Responsibilities

1. Manage agency-related activities, including accreditation, performance evaluation, and incident reporting.
2. Oversee write-off approvals and recovery efforts.
3. Coordinate with Area Collection Officers and Branch Managers to ensure the completeness of documents required for case filing.
4. Implement collection strategies to improve portfolio quality and recovery performance.
5. Supervise the daily activities and accomplishments of Agency Coordinators.
6. Consolidate weekly, monthly, and year-end reports on 90+ DPD accounts and accounts under litigation.
7. Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Delinquency Collection Head.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
2. At least 2-3 years of experience in collections, remedial management, loan recovery, or credit operations, preferably in the banking, financing, or microfinance industry.
3. Proficient in productivity applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
4. Knowledge of Cost-Benefit Analysis, Financial Ratios, Risk Management, and the 4C's of Credit.
5. Strong understanding of collection strategies, delinquency management, skip tracing, litigation processes, and write-off recovery.
6. Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience in supervising collection staff, agency coordinators, or field collectors.
