Collections Officer

Generally responsible in managing the entire outstanding portfolio of assigned area (see attached) and ensures that collection effort has been taken in accordance with the approved Collection Roadmap.  He shall be responsible in supervising, training and mentoring the Collection Specialist and Motorized Collectors in assigned area.   

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with the Service Provider and Banko Branch Manager on the Motorized Collector’s selection, deployment, rotation, performance evaluation and incident reports.
• Coordinates with the Branch Manager (BM)/ Credit Officers (CO) the daily activities of Motorized Collectors (MC) and ensures that MC achieves the expected collection performance based on the set performance metrics with the Service Provider.
• Supervises the BRANCH/BLU personnel on the collection efforts taken for Due Today, Pastdue accounts, No Initial Payment and Compromise Agreement under Items in Litigation and other Remedial Programs (the proof of collection efforts must be kept inside the borrower’s credit folder).
• Reviews the Daily DQ Report.
• Performs field visit/collection for pastdue accounts (if necessary)
• Manages the completeness of documents needed for the filing of cases. Represents Banko in court case hearing.
• Implements Collection Strategies that may help improve the loan portfolio of a branch/BLU such as loan restructuring, staggered payment etc.
• Supervises the daily activities and accomplishments of Branch Collection Specialists.
• Consolidates and submits weekly, monthly and year-end reports of the pastdue accounts and items in litigation to Head Office.
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned by the Collection Head.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in collections, loan recovery, remedial management, or credit operations, preferably in the banking, financing, or microfinance industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of collection strategies, delinquency management, loan restructuring, skip tracing, and litigation processes.
• Strong understanding of credit evaluation, risk management, and the 4C's of Credit.
• Experience in supervising and mentoring collection personnel, motorized collectors, or field collection teams is an advantage.
