What they need
Creative Car Park (CCP) is a car park management service that helps small to medium land and site owners maximise the value, convenience, and security of their parking areas.
As a leading UK car park management company with over 25 years in the industry, CCP leads the way in the development of parking technology and was the first to use ANPR camera technology to manage and enforce car parking.
We believe that a car park isn’t just somewhere where people leave their car. The experience in a car park often leaves a lasting impression, and that experience typically means the difference to a user of a good or a bad day.
Our mission is to develop the very best car park experience for both site owners and car park users, for peace of mind, security, and value. And we care about great parking…even the concrete places!
We continue to develop creative commercial solutions to meet the changing needs of car park owners and their communities around the country.
CCP is experiencing rapid change as it develops and adapts to a changing market to deliver on its ambition to grow ahead of market.
Purpose of Role:
Creative Car Park is looking for an analytical and commercially minded Collections Optimisation Manager to help us improve the performance of our end-to-end collections journey.
This is a newly created, hands-on manager role reporting to the Chief Operations Officer. You will be responsible for the day-to-day performance of the collections funnel, working within the collections strategy and priorities set by the business. It would suit someone who enjoys working with data, investigating why cases have failed to progress and finding practical ways to improve recovery performance.
You will manage the analysis and improvement of our collections funnel, ensuring that suitable cases progress efficiently and are properly prepared for legal action. Your focus will be on identifying missed opportunities, investigating unsuccessful or unresolved cases and improving areas such as record tracing, data quality, supplier performance and collection timings.
You will also monitor the performance of cases after legal action and use this information to make evidence-based recommendations to the business on how the earlier collections journey can be improved.
This is not a traditional collections administration role. We are looking for someone who will
investigate problems, propose evidence-based improvements to existing processes and deliver agreed changes that improve both recovery volumes and financial performance.
Responsibilities:
· Analyse where and why cases fail to progress.
· Investigate unresolved, unsuccessful or ageing cases and identify appropriate next steps.
· Review tracing outcomes, address information and other data-quality issues.
· Manage day-to-day relationships with external suppliers, monitoring performance against agreed service levels and escalating issues where needed.
· Monitor the volume and quality of cases progressing to legal action.
· Track agreed collections KPIs, highlighting risks, exceptions and trends early.
· Analyse payment and recovery performance across different groups of cases.
· Use performance data to recommend improvements to timings and processes, and implement changes once agreed with the Chief Operations Officer.
· Interrogate bulk data using Excel, reports and dashboards.
· Plan and run controlled tests of different collection approaches, as agreed with the Chief Operations Officer, and measure the results.
· Work closely with Operations, Finance, Legal and Technology.
· Identify system or process failures and coordinate their resolution.
· Produce regular performance reporting, findings and recommendations for the Chief Operations Officer and senior leadership team.
· Ensure all activity is completed in line with agreed legal, regulatory and company requirements.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Advanced working knowledge of Excel and confidence analysing large datasets.
· Exceptional attention to detail.
· A forensic and inquisitive approach—you will want to understand why something has happened, not simply report it.
· Strong commercial judgement and an understanding of how operational decisions affect financial performance.
· The ability to identify patterns, exceptions and improvement opportunities.
· Confidence questioning processes and supplier outcomes using evidence, and escalating appropriately.
· The ability to turn analysis into clear recommendations and practical action.
· Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple investigations and priorities.
· Strong stakeholder and supplier-management skills.
· The ability to work independently, manage your own workload and deliver against agreed objectives.
· Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Education, Experience and Training:
· Around 3+ years’ experience in collections, debt recovery, credit control, revenue operations, financial operations or a similar analytical role, ideally including some supervisory or management responsibility, is desirable.
· Experience working in a high-volume, data-led or regulated environment would be advantageous.
· Demonstrable experience analysing and reconciling large datasets is required.
· Experience investigating process failures, operational leakage or unsuccessful customer records would be advantageous.
· Experience working with external suppliers and monitoring supplier performance would be beneficial.
· Direct experience within debt collection or the private parking sector is not essential, as full training on our systems and processes will be provided.
Benefits:
· Competitive compensation package including base salary
· Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement within the company.
· Comprehensive training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
· Collaborative and supportive work environment.
· Access to industry-leading technology and resources.
