Collections Specialist

KBW Financial Staffing is working with a client in Burlington, MA that is looking for a Collections Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time hybrid position and is paying $60k-$70k depending on experience, plus bonus . This opportunity allows for a generous work/life balance on a friendly and supportive team.

The Responsibilities For This Role

• Manage a portfolio of past-due accounts and follow up with customers to collect outstanding balances.
• Handle billing inquiries by phone and email, documenting customer interactions and payment activity.
• Prepare write-offs and third-party collection referrals, while tracking account status and collection results.
• Work with internal teams to resolve billing issues, identify collection opportunities, and ensure company policies are followed.

The Experience Required For This Role

• 2+ years of professional experience in collections, customer service, call center, or a similar environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to work independently.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and administrative skills.
• Associate's degree along with relevant work experience or a bachelor’s degree
