Collections Specialist

Experienced, self-motivated individual to collect payments for a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) business. This position will be located in our Columbus, MS office but will manage collections for the entire company. Success for this position is defined by receipt of all payments for services rendered within a 90-day time frame.

Job Requirements:

• This person will have a thorough understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing, the payment process cycle for primary, secondary, and tertiary payors including knowledge of EOBs, ERN, and general claims submissions.
• Billing experience for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) strongly preferred. Medical billing experience is a plus.
• Self-motivated and independent thinker
• Detail oriented with advanced computer skills
• Professional but diligent in finding the answers needed to meet billing goals & requirements
• Maturity and dependability with a proven track record
• Brightree Software experience a plus
• Must be able to embrace technology and the systems used for billing Accounts Receivable including generating and working reports
• Must work quickly but thoroughly, paying close attention to details
