Collections Specialist

What You'll Do

As a Collections Specialist, you'll play a key role in helping consumers resolve outstanding obligations while maintaining a positive customer experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing inbound and outbound collection calls for consumer loan, installment, and fintech accounts
• Negotiating payment plans and settlement arrangements
• Consistently achieving collection, productivity, and quality targets
• Maintaining accurate account documentation, payment commitments, and follow-up activities
• Identifying and escalating disputes, complaints, and hardship situations when appropriate
• Addressing credit-reporting inquiries and approved pay-for-delete discussions
• Ensuring compliance with FDCPA, Regulation F, client requirements, and industry best practices
• Protecting sensitive consumer information through proper verification and security procedures

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years of recent collections experience (first-party or third-party)
• Demonstrated success in consistently meeting or exceeding collection goals
• Strong understanding of FDCPA and Regulation F
• Experience with consumer-loan, installment, or fintech accounts
• Background using dialers and collection management systems
• Credit-reporting and pay-for-delete negotiation experience
• Exceptional communication, customer service, and negotiation skills
• Strong documentation practices and attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and ability to manage a high-volume workload
• Professional, confident approach to handling difficult conversations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BEAM or InterProse software
• Knowledge of FCRA and credit-reporting dispute processes
• Experience managing hardship accounts and charged-off debt
