About the role
TRACE College is seeking a dedicated and experienced College of Engineering Instructor to join our academic team. This is a full-time position based in Los Baños, Laguna, where you will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of engineering professionals. As an Engineering Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality tertiary-level education, fostering critical thinking, and preparing students for successful careers in the engineering industry. This role is integral to our commitment to academic excellence and the development of skilled engineering graduates who can contribute meaningfully to society.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in accordance with the curriculum standards and learning objectives of the College of Engineering

• Design, prepare and deliver course materials, including lecture notes, assignments, practical exercises and assessments that meet accreditation requirements

• Assess student learning through examinations, quizzes, projects and practical work, providing constructive feedback to support student development

• Conduct practical and laboratory demonstrations, ensuring students gain hands-on experience with engineering principles and equipment

• Supervise student projects, capstone works and research initiatives within your area of expertise

• Support student mentoring and academic guidance to help learners succeed in their studies

• Stay current with developments in engineering practice and education, incorporating contemporary industry knowledge into teaching

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline; a Master's degree or higher qualification is preferred

• Registered Civil Engineer

• Preferrably with minimum of 1-3 years of professional engineering experience in industry or practice

• Commitment to student-centred learning approaches and continuous professional development
