Spring Hill Auto Body, Inc. is looking for an experienced Auto Body Estimator to join our team in East Dundee, Illinois.

We are accepting applications and conducting interviews now, with plans to hire immediately following Thanksgiving week. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply now so interviews can be completed in advance.

We are an established collision repair shop looking for an experienced estimator who wants a stable, long-term position with a busy team. The right candidate will have strong collision repair knowledge and be comfortable working directly with customers, insurance companies, technicians, and parts suppliers.

This position offers a guaranteed base salary plus performance-based commission, with expected annual compensation of $75,000–$100,000+ depending on shop performance and production.

Training & Onboarding

We want our new estimator to be set up for success. The position includes approximately one month of hands-on training alongside a senior estimator and the owner.

This training period gives you the opportunity to learn our shop procedures, estimating process, customer service standards, insurance relationships, parts ordering, and overall repair workflow before taking on the full responsibilities of the position.

Responsibilities

• Write accurate and complete collision repair estimates using CCC
• Work directly with insurance companies on estimates, supplements, approvals, and repair procedures
• Order parts and coordinate with parts suppliers
• Communicate with customers throughout the repair process
• Work closely with technicians and shop staff to keep repairs moving efficiently
• Review repair needs and ensure estimates accurately reflect required repairs
• Maintain accurate repair documentation
• Follow up on supplements, parts, and insurance approvals
• Help manage repairs from the initial estimate through completion

Requirements

• Previous experience as an auto body/collision repair estimator
• CCC estimating experience required
• Current I-CAR certifications required
• Experience working with insurance companies and adjusters
• Experience ordering automotive parts
• Strong knowledge of collision repair procedures
• Valid driver's license
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple repairs and priorities in a busy shop environment

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
• Every other Saturday: 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
• Flexibility for needed time off
