Duties

• Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning meals to ensure timely service
• Support the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from senior kitchen staff to maintain consistency and quality
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Ensure food safety standards are upheld by adhering to hygiene protocols and proper storage procedures
• Help with meal presentation and serving to guests or customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to keep the kitchen well-equipped for daily operations
• Support the team during busy periods by performing general kitchen porter duties to keep the environment efficient and safe

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is key
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
• Willingness to handle physical tasks such as lifting, standing for extended periods, and cleaning duties
• Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and contribute effectively to the team
• A genuine interest in culinary arts, meal preparation, and serving customers is highly desirable
