[Commercial] 3D CAD Engineer

Position Overview

GasEntec is seeking a 3D CAD Engineer to join our Commercial Team.

This role will support the development of technical proposals and conceptual designs for LNG and energy infrastructure projects, including both marine and onshore facilities .

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of vessel arrangements and onshore plant layouts , and be capable of developing conceptual 2D/3D layouts, plot plans, and presentation materials during the bidding and proposal stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual 3D models and layouts for LNG, FSRU, terminal, and other energy infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and update Plot Plans, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, equipment layouts, and conceptual drawings for commercial proposals.
• Develop layouts considering the characteristics and constraints of both marine vessels and onshore plants .
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, equipment information, and project requirements to create practical conceptual layouts.
• Support the Commercial Team in preparing technical proposals, bidding documents, and client presentation materials.
• Coordinate with Process, Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, C&I, and other engineering disciplines to reflect technical requirements in layouts and 3D models.
• Review 3D models and identify potential layout, accessibility, constructability, and interface issues during the early project stage.
• Prepare visual materials and model views to effectively communicate project concepts to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Manage and revise CAD drawings and 3D models based on project and proposal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Plant Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field .
• Relevant experience in 3D CAD modeling, plant layout, ship design, or engineering design .
• Good understanding of vessel arrangements and marine structures .
• Good understanding of onshore plant layouts, equipment arrangement, and general plant configuration .
• Experience preparing or reviewing Plot Plans, GA drawings, and equipment layouts .
• Proficiency in engineering design software such as: Navisworks
• AutoCAD
• 3D CAD / Plant 3D or equivalent 3D modeling software
• Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong coordination and communication skills with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in LNG, FSRU, LNG Terminal, FPSO, offshore, shipbuilding, or EPC projects .
• Experience supporting FEED, Concept Design, Proposal, or Tender/Bidding activities .
• Experience developing conceptual layouts for both marine and onshore facilities .
• Familiarity with piping routing, equipment arrangement, maintenance access, and general plant design considerations.
• Experience working with international clients or global engineering projects.
• Business-level English communication skills are preferred.
