Commercial Analyst

About The Role At Octane, we are transforming how businesses manage and control fleet and vehicle-related expenses across Egypt through our digital payment and fleet management ecosystem.

As a Commercial Analyst , you will play a key role in helping Octane make better commercial decisions by analyzing sales, revenue, customer, and market data. You will work closely with the Commercial, Sales, Finance, Growth, and Operations teams to monitor performance, identify opportunities, improve commercial efficiency, and support strategic decision-making.

This role combines commercial understanding with data-driven analysis . You will be responsible for turning complex business data into clear insights and actionable recommendations that support revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention, and overall commercial performance.

What You'll Be Doing

• Analyze sales, revenue, customer, and commercial performance to identify trends, opportunities, and performance gaps.
• Develop and maintain commercial dashboards and reports to track key business and sales KPIs.
• Monitor sales performance across teams, regions, segments, products, and channels.
• Analyze revenue performance, customer contribution, pricing, and commercial trends.
• Support sales forecasting and commercial planning by analyzing historical performance and current pipeline data.
• Identify underperforming areas and provide data-driven recommendations to improve commercial performance.
• Analyze customer segments and behavior to identify opportunities for acquisition, upselling, cross-selling, and retention.
• Support pricing and commercial decisions through profitability, revenue, and market analysis.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify market trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
• Build business cases and financial analyses to support new commercial initiatives and strategic decisions.
• Evaluate the performance and ROI of commercial campaigns, initiatives, and sales channels.
• Provide regular performance insights and recommendations to commercial leadership and senior management.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in Commercial Analytics, Business Analytics, Sales Analytics, Revenue Analytics, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong understanding of commercial and sales metrics, including revenue, conversion rate, pipeline, average revenue per customer, retention, churn, and profitability.
• Strong proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets with experience handling and analyzing large datasets.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Growth, Operations, and other teams.
• Previous experience in fintech, payments, SaaS, mobility, fleet management, e-commerce, logistics, or technology is highly preferred.
