Commercial Analyst

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Analyst to join a well-established national business. Reporting to senior leadership, this role will play a critical part in managing financial performance, commercial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and stakeholder engagement across a significant service-based operation.
  
This position suits an immediately available and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with operational leaders, analysing business performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.  It will be commencing as a contract role but the role may covert to a permanent position in the new year.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Partner with operational and senior leadership teams to influence business performance
• Monthly financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting processes
• Provide commercial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making
• Monitor financial performance against budgets, forecasts and key performance indicators
• Develop and maintain reporting frameworks, dashboards and management reports
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, reduce costs and optimise financial outcomes
• Manage contract performance reporting and commercial deliverables
• Support risk management and governance activities
• Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Drive process improvement initiatives across finance and commercial functions

 
The Candidate

• CA or CPA qualification (or be working towards completion)
• Experience in commercial finance, management accounting or business partnering roles
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis capability
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights
• Experience working within a service-based, infrastructure, facilities management, contracting or project-driven environment will be highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
