Commercial & Pre-Construction Coordinator – Construction

Levismar Formwork & Groundworks Ltd is a growing construction contractor based in Harrow, London. We specialise in groundworks, reinforced concrete, formwork, basements, underpinning, foundations, drainage, retaining walls and associated construction works.

We are looking for a proactive and motivated Commercial & Pre-Construction Coordinator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis and work closely with the Managing Director.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with construction experience who wants to develop their career and become an important part of a growing company.

We are not expecting you to know everything from day one. We are looking for someone who understands construction, is organised, commercially minded, confident speaking with clients and willing to learn and take responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage new project and tender enquiries from initial enquiry through to submission and follow-up
• Communicate with clients, Quantity Surveyors, developers and main contractors
• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs and tender information
• Coordinate with our Estimator/QS to ensure quotations are prepared and submitted on time
• Maintain and manage our tender and opportunity register
• Follow up quotations and tenders after submission
• Obtain feedback from clients and help convert quotations into secured work
• Arrange client meetings and site visits
• Maintain relationships with existing clients and develop new contacts
• Identify new construction projects and tender opportunities
• Assist with commercial negotiations before contract award
• Assist with supplier and subcontractor enquiries where required
• Help promote our construction, groundworks and plant hire services
• Work directly with the Managing Director to improve our tendering, business development and work-winning process
• Ensure opportunities are properly followed up and not missed

About You:

We would be interested in candidates with experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Junior QS, Commercial Assistant, Assistant Estimator, Estimator, Pre-Construction Coordinator, Project Coordinator or a similar construction role.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a good understanding of the UK construction industry
• Be able to understand construction drawings and tender information
• Have good communication and organisational skills
• Be confident speaking with clients and contractors by telephone and email
• Be proactive and comfortable following up opportunities rather than waiting to be instructed
• Have good Microsoft Excel, Word and general computer skills
• Be organised and able to manage several enquiries and deadlines at the same time
• Be willing to learn and take on more responsibility as the company grows

Experience in groundworks, reinforced concrete, formwork, basements or civil engineering would be an advantage, but it is not essential.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £35,000–£45,000 per year, depending on experience
