Position Overview


AlpsDiscovery Digital are seeking an Independent Commercial and Sales Manager to develop and grow our commercial activities for the sale of our digital platforms and business operations software.


This role is ideal for a senior, entrepreneurial profile with an existing network of contacts among suppliers, distributors, shop owners, and e-commerce business owners.


The role is independent / freelance, with a strong focus on business development, partnerships, and closing deals.



Key Responsibilities


Business Development & Sales

• Actively promote and sell our digital platforms, SaaS solutions, and business operations software to retailers, distributors, and e-commerce businesses

• Identify and approach new clients, partners, and business opportunities

• Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, presentation, negotiation, closing, and follow-up

• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads


Network & Partnerships

• Leverage your existing network and relationships with:

• Shop owners and retail chains

• E-commerce business owners

• Suppliers and distributors

• Business decision-makers in commerce and retail

• Develop strategic partnerships and long-term commercial relationships

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients on digital transformation and operational optimization


Market Intelligence & Strategy

• Monitor market trends in e-commerce, retail tech, and digital transformation

• Provide feedback to the company on market needs, client expectations, and product opportunities

• Contribute to commercial strategy and go-to-market approaches



Profile & Requirements


Location & Mobility


• Based in Suisse romande, ideally in or near Lausanne / Genève

• Valid driving licence (Category B)

• Own vehicle required for client visits, partner meetings, and field activities


Professional Background


• Proven experience in sales, business development, or commercial management in:

• Digital technologies

• SaaS / software solutions

• E-commerce, retail, or business services

• Strong understanding of retail operations, e-commerce processes, and business workflows


Network & Independence


• Independent professional / self-employed (freelancer, consultant, or company)

• Established network and connections among:

• Shop owners and retail chains

• E-commerce business owners

• Suppliers and distributors

• Business decision-makers in commerce and retail

• Ability to open doors and access decision-makers directly


Skills & Competencies


• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

• Strong commercial mindset and results orientation

• Autonomous, proactive, and entrepreneurial

• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with internal teams

• Comfortable discussing digital platforms, automation, and business operations software
