Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of carpentry tasks on commercial construction projects, ensuring precision, safety, and quality at every stage. Your expertise will contribute to building durable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing structures across various commercial sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from framing and drywall installation to finishing and restoration, all while adhering to safety standards and project timelines.

Duties

• Read and interpret detailed construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks.
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other construction materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking.
• Perform framing work including metal stud framing, concrete forming, and rebar installation for structural support.
• Install doors, windows, cabinets, fixtures, siding, drywall, trim, stucco, and flooring with precision.
• Conduct restoration activities such as water damage remediation, mold remediation, plastering, and reinstallation of damaged components.
• Operate woodworking machines safely to produce high-quality wood construction materials and components.
• Engage in heavy lifting and physical tasks required for construction site activities while maintaining safety protocols.
• Assist in interpreting construction plans and estimating material needs for projects involving caulking, siding, drywall finishing, or fixture installation.
• Support remodeling projects by installing or repairing various building elements in residential or commercial settings.
• Follow all safety procedures related to power tool safety and general construction site safety regulations.

Skills

• Extensive experience in construction estimating and interpreting technical drawings.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in woodworking and carpentry applications.
• Strong background in residential carpentry, trim carpentry, framing (including metal studs), drywall installation, and flooring.
• Knowledge of woodworking machines and their safe operation for precise fabrication.
• Familiarity with the use of construction plans for accurate project execution.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical endurance throughout the workday.
• Experience with restoration industry practices such as water damage restoration or mold remediation is a plus.
• Skilled in fixture installation including doors, cabinets, siding, stucco, and other finishing elements.
• Understanding of construction site safety standards including power tool safety protocols.
• Capable of working independently or collaboratively on complex projects involving remodeling or renovation tasks.
