Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques.
• Handle floor care tasks such as scrubbing, buffing, waxing, polishing, and refinishing to maintain optimal floor appearance and safety.
• Utilize chemical agents responsibly for cleaning, floor care, and disinfecting surfaces in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Operate cleaning machinery including floor scrubbers, buffers, polishers, carpet cleaners, and other janitorial equipment to ensure efficient cleaning processes.
• Conduct manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy equipment or supplies safely while following proper ergonomic practices.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals, ensuring proper storage and usage of floor cleaning chemicals and other products.
• Follow environmental services protocols by using eco-friendly products when possible and disposing of waste responsibly to promote sustainability.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests or concerns related to cleanliness or maintenance issues.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of chemical agents and use of personal protective equipment.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with knowledge of janitorial procedures.
• Skilled in floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, floor refinishing, and carpet cleaning techniques.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuum cleaners, and carpet extractors.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely—understanding labels, proper dilution methods, and disposal procedures.
• Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely during routine tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail ensuring all areas meet cleanliness standards consistently.
• Good communication skills with a friendly attitude for providing exceptional customer service in a professional manner.
• Knowledge of environmental services practices emphasizing eco-friendly cleaning solutions and waste management.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
