Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of commercial areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas, using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Operate floor scrubbing machines, buffers, polishers, and floor waxing tools to maintain pristine floor conditions.
• Handle chemical agents safely, following all health and safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination.
• Conduct carpet cleaning, floor refinishing, buffing, and floor care tasks to ensure surfaces are spotless and well-maintained
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring all tools are in good working order for daily use.
• Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

Requirements

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial environment with knowledge of environmental services standards.
• Familiarity with cleaning procedures including floor scrubbing, carpet cleaning, floor waxing, buffing, and floor refinishing.
• Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely, including the use of floor cleaning chemicals and other chemical agents.
• Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely and efficiently.
• Experience operating various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, and carpet extractors.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Good communication skills coupled with a customer service-oriented mindset.

Pay: $11.05 - $15.96 per hour
