Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming across different areas such as offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces.
• Handle and apply various cleaning chemicals and floor cleaning agents safely and effectively, adhering to environmental and safety regulations.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, waxers, carpet cleaners, and floor polishers to maintain high-quality floor care.
• Conduct specialized floor care procedures including scrubbing, waxing, buffing, refinishing, and polishing to restore floors to their optimal condition.
• Manage heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or equipment safely while following manual handling protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces by using appropriate cleaning tools and techniques to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests and addressing any concerns with professionalism.
• Follow established health and safety guidelines during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Keep detailed records of cleaning schedules, supplies used, and maintenance reports for accountability and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with knowledge of janitorial procedures preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques including scrubbing, waxing, buffing, carpet cleaning, and refinishing.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely with knowledge of proper handling and disposal methods.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset.
• Knowledge of environmental services practices is advantageous for sustainable cleaning practices.
• Certification in the use of cleaning equipment or safety training is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
